Eagle Scout Ken Locke of Warsaw

Indiana, wanted to remember his best

friend, also an Eagle Scout, was a Marine from Marshalltown Iowa, who was the last American, killed in Vietnam. So, Ken decided to design the above Patch that, was 1st sold on the 25th anniversay of the end of that war, for $2.00 Dollars, to anyone who buys it, to remember someone they knew, as a friend, or relative that fought, and or died in Vietnam, with the monies going to an Endowment, in  his freinds name, but since, is used to help Scouts that, otherwise cannot afford to go to Boyscout Camps.

History of War Campaign Patches

Theses Patches were created, when a Family, whose son, an Eagle Scout ,came home from Iraq, was killed in a car crash. They asked memorials be given to Boyscouts. and I asked them if we could take the money they received, plus proceeds from sale of theses patches, when reaching $1,000. Dollars, and put it in for a James E West Fellow, in his name,  presented Posthumously. They had remembered when the same thing was done, by our MAC's (MId America Council's) Professional Staff, presented it the sameway, for my wife, which they agreed. However, they had enough from the memorials they collected.

Then, a longtime friend, and donor, has agreed to underwrite the cost of 250, of each above patch, to be sold for $5.00 Dollars each, and the total proceeds will go into a Campership Fund, which will be put in Memory of his late wife. They are available at MAC's Shop, and on ebay.
